4 amazing books that will transform a mans life, plus two things you should do everyday

Yesterday as I was working out, I thought about some of the things that I wanted to share with every man.

This spawned my first video blog ( I guess that’s what you call it).

It’s called the “4 books Every Man Should Read” and you can view the video below or on YouTube.

There is no longer a Facebook page or an Instagram page for the 360ManProject, but I would like to continue to make videos, and you should begin to see more of those pop up.

However, I don’t want to continue making them if they don’t add any sort of value or help any man out (I believe they will).

In making these videos though there is something very important that I want to be clear of.

I am a Christian, and I believe in God, so almost everything that I talk about will be from a biblical perspective, it is part of who I am and I cannot change that. However, I will not push my beliefs on you, but I will share my struggles and successes through my faith journey.

If you are offended or turned off by that, then I respect that, and appreciate you, but feel free to move on. If that doesn’t bother you and you want to learn to be a better man, and work towards becoming the best version of yourself, then I am glad that you are here.

Book #1 - The Bible

If you want to be a man, and understand who you are as a man, then you need to find out who the real man is, and then get to know him.

The best way to do that is to develop a relationship with him, by reading the words that he wrote. Think about it. If your Dad had written down his life story, wouldn’t you want to read it?

And since you read it, do you think you would know and understand your dad better? Do you think you would have a better relationship because of it?

When you read the bible, that is exactly what you are getting. You are getting the story of who you are. Here are a few things that he says about you:

  • For You have girded me with strength for battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. -Psalms 18:39

  • They will be as mighty men, Treading down the enemy in the mire of the streets in battle; And they will fight, for the LORD will be with them - Zechariah 10:12

  • But the LORD is with me like a dread champion; Therefore my persecutors will stumble and not prevail They will be utterly ashamed, because they have failed, With an everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten. - Jeremiah 20:11

If that does not tell you who you are, then I don’t know what does.

Honestly, I can’t tell you who you are, and neither can anyone else. Not even all of these present day gurus, or warriors who seem to have everyone’s attention.

I only tell men to be the men they were made to be, point them to the one who made them, and show them how to do it practically.

Reading the bible and spending time with the man, is the number one way to become the man you were made to be. It will build the inner man, which seems to be what’s lacking in our culture.

Unbeatable mind is a phenomenal book to really begin to articulate, and cultivate the inner man. Although I don’t believe in ancient east religion or Shakra’s or stuff like that. This book really helps you to define your “why” of things.

Then it practically helps you to draw your inner warrior out.

Take your time reading it, and do the tasks that he gives. This book and the bible really helped me transform from the inside out, as I recovered from one of the lowest points in my life.

This book changed my financial life. Growing up, my parents taught me that debt was bad, and to never go into it.

Of course, I went against their good advice and went into debt in my late twenties, accumulating more than $50,000 dollars of it.

When I graduated college without a job and buried in debt, I didn’t know what to do. My wife and I had heard from some friends about Dave Ramsey, so we bought the FPU program, and did the plan.

2.5 years later, we were debt free. Dave’s plan is just common sense, and it’s in your face truth that you need to hear. I sure did.

Instead of beating your head against the door or spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars trying to learn how to start an online business, or blog.

You can just read this book. It is the best book that I have read, hands down on doing anything online. Although, some of it might seem dated, it’s not. It’s not sales(y) and it’s written by guys that truly want to help.

There are exercises at the end of certain sections that you can complete, and you will have tons of ideas to start with.

There is only one caveat: It’s hard work and it takes time!

Don’t get discouraged when something doesn’t work the first time. My first E-book that you can get here now, was a complete flop because I screwed everything up, but it still sold a couple copies and I realized that I could make money doing what I wanted to do.

    • There are 31 proverbs, one for every day of the month. I promise you that if you read one of them a day that your life will begin to transform in ways you didn’t think was possible. Not only will you develop a relationship with God, but you will develop daily discipline, wisdom and strength.

    • This is one of the most overlooked ways to develop a plan, discipline, and structure into your life. A journal doesn’t need to be something that you spend a lot of time on writing. Most of the stuff in my journal are just little tasks that I want to complete, drawings or ideas, and things that I am super proud of or happy about.
