Weekly Workout For Men: Get fit Like Jason Bourne

Weekly Workout For Men: Get fit Like Jason Bourne

“At this altitude, I can run flat out for a half mile before my hands start shaking.”

I remember reading the book “The Bourne Identity” when I was going through Strike Intelligence training at NMITC in Dam Neck Virginia.

I couldn’t put it down, and I wanted to be Jason Bourne, in fact, I think every man at some point in his life has wanted to be Jason Bourne.

Maybe, I’m wrong. It happens from time to time.

Slaying Dragons: A Manifesto for the men of the modern times

Slaying Dragons: A Manifesto for the men of the modern times

I have been thinking about this topic for about a week or so now.

I got to really digging in and asking myself a question: “If I could go back eight years to that day I finally woke up from the slumber I was in and finally make a change, what are the things that I would want to tell every man?”

I’m not a perfect man, and I never will be this side of life. However, I have learned a lot of things in the past few years that I see so many men still struggle with. Not only do they struggle with them, but they don’t really know what to do.

I want to break it down for men, so they at least have a path that they can walk. Once again, it might not be an exact route, or a perfect route, but it is at least a guiding light.

Why being a father is the greatest and most important role a man can have in his life: Raising strong, brave and self sufficient kids

Why being a father is the greatest and most important role a man can have in his life: Raising strong, brave and self sufficient kids

I fail as a father a lot…

In fact most of the time, I have no clue what I’m doing, but I just keep trying to figure it out the best that I can.

No one gives a father a manual on exactly what to do, or what it’s going to be like when you hold your child in your arms for the first time. Or what to do when they cry for the first time.

However, as a man, I want to see other men raise strong, brave and confident kids, and it pains me so much when I see kids neglected, mistreated, ignored and unloved. It breaks my heart.

As men, we are to be the best things in our kids life, the heroes that they deserve to look up to. Sure, we might not have all the answers or be one hundred percent perfect one hundred percent of the time, but we do need to make our best effort.

The 53 books every man must read before they turn 40

I love to read… there is no doubt about that, and in doing so, I start telling others about books that I have read. I don’t like to hoard knowledge, and if I think something is worth passing on, I do it.

On this website there are several places that you can find links to great books that I recommend, but I felt like there needed to be a list that was more definitive especially for the type of men that read this blog and listen to the podcast.

Men of substance, wisdom and maturity, need to read things that are going to give them more of that, and allow them to continue having a mind of their own and even challenge their own lines of thought.

In fact, the type of men that the 360 Man Project are attracting are highly driven men that want to grow in knowledge and be able to apply it at some point in life.

  • It’s ok to speak my mind

  • It’s ok to get in a fight

  • It’s ok to get in trouble

  • It’s ok to fail or lose

  • I don’t have to apologize

  • Sometimes things suck, learn to work through it

  • Don’t listen and do what others tell you to do just because they told you

  • Question everything

  • ……

How to build a CrossFit Peg Board: A Simple DIY project for your garage or home gym

Recently my friend opened his own CrossFit Affiliate Box “The Standard” in downtown Toledo, Ohio. I wanted to do something for him.

I had been to other CrossFit Affiliates in the area but had never seen one that had a climbing pegboard. These were really made popular during the CrossFit Games and gave the athletes a seemingly insurmountable obstacle.

Since then, garage’s and gyms all over the world have been producing them.
