5 Reasons why men like to be and stay average, and why they aren't asking the right questions

5 Reasons why men like to be and stay average, and why they aren't asking the right questions

There is a war on masculinity. There is a war.

It is fought by yourself (Maybe), and the invisible enemy, that is preventing you from being the man you are made to be. Some would call this enemy the devil, some would call it a shadow oligarch, and some would call it culture.

I define this enemy as anything that is preventing your soul from being spiritually free. It is anything that is preventing you from being the man that you were made to be. The one that you know you are.

If you think about that, then the whole dynamic of warfare is changed.

It is no longer seen as something that isn’t on your doorstep. It is no longer classified as a battle between trained american soldiers in Afghanistan and members of ISIS.

How to get comfortable being uncomfortable: 10 things a man can do today to develop grit and discipline

Get comfortable being uncomfortable….

We hear these words so much now in our culture. In fact they are so cliche now that I doubt the people saying them really even know what it means.

I don’t really even know what they mean.

In fact, these words may only be reserved for those few individuals who risk their lives for something they believe in and are constantly on the brink of death.

50 Mile GoRuck Star course: After Action Report (AAR) - Advice on how to train, complete and get after it

For those of you who are not familiar with what a Star course is, it is by definition the culminating rucking exercise of Special Forces Selection. You show up with your ruck and you get a list of waypoints. You plot your route, then you start rucking: point to point, mile after mile.

For a lot of miles.

Most Special forces candidates don’t make selection. Not because they aren’t tough or didn’t quit, but because it is just a highly challenging, rigorous endeavor. Anyone who even attempts Selction is a badass in my mind. They are following their dreams and at least take a shot at them. 99% of the population wouldn’t even try.

The 5 biggest regrets every man must learn to avoid

My car recently broke down on the side of the road.

I tried to call a couple people to come and get me, but it’s pretty typical that when you really need someone they aren’t available.

It’s Murphy’s law.

Instead of waiting it out, or going through my phone contacts, I popped open the trunk, grabbed my boots and my rucksack, and walked home.

It was only about 2.5 miles, but it was a great time to get a workout in, and also think about my life, as I often do. Us introverts love to think, internalize and self-reflect. It’s what we do best.

Weekly workout for men: The difference between what you want now and what you really want

We like to go about things all wrong.

Instead of doing the work. We like to read about how to do it, or make a plan how to do it, but never actually do it.

In fact, if we could pay someone to do it, we would do it.

Lots of people want to get in great shape, and become physically fit. So they pay someone else to try and do it for them. Personal trainers know how to get you into shape, but you still have to do the work.

How to be a better man in a world that always wants a quick fix or some form of medication

Most people want a quick fix.

They want a fabricated version of themselves.

Not only that, but they want, processed food, microwaveable snack dinners, Keurig coffee, on demand streaming movies, fast-lane checkouts, grocery pick-up in a car.

We like things how we want them, when we want them, and in the best quality possible. We are a highly consumerist culture, and we are driven by our "We want it now, mentality." It's really kind of sad.

We no longer know the term patience, or wait, we just don't have time in our lives for it.
